Owner & Partner
Aaron Strole graduated with a Masters in Business Administration from the University of Texas at Austin. After receiving his MBA, Mr. Strole worked as a Management Consultant at IBM. While consulting there for over six years, he helped to develop new business strategies and improve processes for numerous clients including Nissan, Intel, and Chevron. In doing so, his experience was expanded to include improving business operations and developing critical financial analysis. Mr. Strole started at IBM as a Management Consultant in the eBusiness Practice. In 2002, Mr. Strole moved into IBM’s Business Strategy practice in New York, NY. Always having a passion for real estate, he left IBM to pursue his own business and, with his wife, became a founding member of Capital Asset Management in 2009. With his wealth of experience and knowledge due to his background, Mr. Strole has been leading the property management group of CAM ever since.

Rachelle earned a Bachelor Arts degree with a specification in Foreign Languages from Arizona State University, where she graduated Cum Laude. At 25 years old, she purchased 50% of a mortgage banker in Arizona and grew it into a multi-state banker while getting her Direct Endorsement Underwriter delegation from HUD. In 2008, she was approached to manage the first FDIC structured sale portfolio holding over $700MM in commercial assets throughout the nation. With that opportunity she founded Capital Asset Management (“CAM”) with her husband, Aaron Strole. In the last few years CAM made the step to grow a development arm, Capital Development Group, and we are currently developing our own portfolio along with our many partners and friends in the industry. Additionally, Rachelle is a Pat Tillman Foundation Mentor. With over 35 years of experience in the asset management industry she is more than qualified to meet property financial needs.
Executive Vice President | Brokerage & Development
Jason Hersker is an Executive Vice President with Capital Asset Management and a Partner in the development arm, Capital Development Group. He specializes in leasing, sales and development in the Southwest, covering a wide range of product types, including retail, multifamily and Build For Rent. As an established expert and trusted consultant with a proven track record of success, Jason uses his comprehensive market knowledge and property analytics to provide clients with real estate strategies and solutions. He has delivered over 400 leases, completed over $200 Million in commercial sales and developed over 500 Thousand square feet of commercial product since joining Capital Asset Management in 2009.
Prior to joining Capital Asset Management Jason was a Sales Associate for WestStone Communities where he actively marketed and sold new build mid-rise and high-rise condominiums in the Phoenix Market.
He holds a Bachelor of Science degree from the University of Arizona, where he was the President of his Fraternity Delta Tau Delta. In addition to work and travel, Jason enjoys spending time outdoors with his wife Shannon, two children Brayden and Sienna, and two Sheepadoodles, Guinness and Porter.

Designated Broker | Brokerage
Scott Smith Designated Broker for Capital Asset Management started in Real Estate right out of college and has been licensed for over thirty years. Scott has worked in all aspects of the Real Estate Business successfully representing Buyers and Sellers resulting in transactions totaling tens of millions of dollars. Following a 20 plus year career with Cox Enterprises. Scott returned to Real Estate full time first as an investor then joining Capital Asset Management as an Associate then as the Designated Broker.

Erin began her accounting career in hospitality, where she spent almost 10 years working for two of the biggest international hotel chains. Looking to try something new, she joined the Capital Asset Management family in 2018 as a Senior Accountant. Erin now oversees a portfolio of over 25 properties that include retail, office, residential, and hotels.
Senior Property Manager
Joy Pena holds a Bachelor Degree in Economics earned from St. Paul’s College Manila in consortium with De La Salle University in Manila, Philippines, and received her a CPM (Certified Property Manager) designation from the Institute of Real Estate Management (IREM) in 2015. She brings over one and a half decades of real estate management experience focusing on commercial property management. Joy is a great communicator and although she manages from an investor’s mindset, she ensures to keep her focus on the property needs while maintaining strong relationships with tenants. She is a hard worker and takes time to understand how to maintain high standards and works to maximize the value of every asset. She makes every effort to improve her craft by ongoing education and good awareness of market trends particularly with vacancies and market rentals, and business tools to help control property expenses. Aside from her dedication to give exceptional property management service to owners and tenants, her main goal is to be the solution provider to meet the challenges of each property.
Senior Property Manager
Courtney Stern joined Capital Asset Management in August of 2020 and has over 10 years of experience in the real estate industry. She is currently responsible for the management and leasing of Class A office and retail properties in the Scottsdale and Gilbert. Prior to joining Capital Asset Management, Courtney worked in downtown Chicago on large Class A high rises such as AMA Plaza and Willis Tower which consisted of commercial office space, retail, and parking.
Courtney’s accreditations include: LEED AP O+M, Arizona licensed real estate agent, Real Property Administrator designation through BOMI International. Courtney received her Bachelor of Science in Communication Degree from DePaul University in Chicago and is a certified yoga instructor.

Trent Wilson joined Capital Asset Management in January of 2020 with a focus on real estate development and brokerage. Day to day, he is involved in the push toward current and future developments with site selection, due diligence, consultant communication, and financial review, while also managing multiple properties around the greater Phoenix area. Prior to joining CAM, Trent worked at JDM Partners, a capital fund investment and development firm, where he was involved in acquisitions and development projects. Living in Arizona for all but one year of his life, he attended Grand Canyon University, where he played Division 1 baseball and graduated with a Bachelor of Science in Finance & Economics. Trent’s work ethic, determination, and ever-growing network make him a valuable member of the Capital Asset Management team.

Valorie Martin was born and raised in Scottsdale, AZ. As a Licensed Real Estate Agent, she has been with Capital Asset Management since February 2018. Prior to working for “CAM” she briefly worked on the residential side of real estate - but decided to take on a new challenge and pursue commercial leasing and development.
Her current endeavor is a follow up to her long career in transportation in which she sold her shares from a multimillion-dollar transportation company she began in 1997 with her husband, “John Martin.”
Valorie has always been an entrepreneur- but first realized it at the age of twenty-two when she successfully built and managed one of the largest flower shop delivery businesses in the Phoenix area. The business was sought after and sold within a few years. But her passion was born and has continued to manifest itself through several successful ventures. Over the years her path has crossed with thousands of professionals from multiple industries. Rather it be from her years in transportation or the indoor Xtreme trampoline and skate park she created, one thing is certain; her customers and contacts know that she has their best interests at heart at a very personal level.
Valorie’s passion for construction and design was further developed during her creation of Arizona’s finest trampoline and skateboard park, “Xtreme Air” which she created and then managed from 2010 - 2015 before it was sold. “I learned through the years being on both sides of the spectrum as a tenant and now representing the landlord. I know how to help entrepreneurs find that perfect location for their business.”

Emily King earned a bachelor’s degree with concentrations in Design and Communications from Arizona State University. After receiving her degree, she worked in sales for the nation’s largest wine and liquor distributor for three years. During this time, she discovered a love for real estate and completed the credentials for her Arizona Real Estate License. She then began her real estate career with Capital Asset Management in early 2017 and has moved her way up into the role of Property Accountant. In June 2020, she earned her Masters in Business Administration from Grand Canyon University and plans to continue growing her professional career with Capital Asset Management.

Madelyne Mazzulla is a recent college graduate from University of California Davis in December 2020. After graduating with a degree in Managerial Economics, Mazzulla accepted a position with Capital Asset Management in Phoenix, Arizona, as an Accounting Assistant. Mazzulla’s strength in teamwork stems from her childhood being involved in cheerleading on various California teams until she decided to coach her own team and teach others the value of teamwork, dedication, and perseverance. Mazzulla is a quick study with an ambitious mindset, making her an asset in any environment.

Kayla Koch is a strong and independent thinker with a self-starter and ambitious personality. Born and raised in Phoenix, Arizona, she attended Arizona State University's Walter Cronkite School of Journalism & Mass Communication and graduated with a degree in Journalism, Public Relations, and Communication. Koch's five-year background in the hospitality and restaurant industry guided her to an occupation in the marketing field in 2019. This opportunity allowed Koch to explore her interest in helping others while learning how to market a product or service she believed in. Outside of the office, Koch owns and operates a photography side business, enjoys spending time with her family, and can be found cooking in the kitchen at any given hour.

Property Manager | ACoM
Lance Norling is a Licensed Property Manager and has been with Capital Asset Management since September 2019. Mr. Norling is responsible for the management/operations of Class A office and retail properties located throughout the metro Phoenix area. At his previous employer Mr. Norling was responsible for the Arizona portfolio which consisted of Class A Office (high rise), Industrial, and Residential properties.
Mr. Norling grew up in Southern California and began his Commercial Real Estate Career there in 2015. Mr. Norling holds a B.S. in Kinesiology from California State University, Northridge.
Colleen Pettit is a Licensed Property Manager and has been with Capital Asset Management for over 5 years. She has over 15 years in the Commercial Property Management Industry in both the Tucson and Phoenix Market. She has experience in managing Class A Office space, Retail Centers, and Associations. She earned a Bachelor’s Degree from the University of Arizona.
Assistant Property Manager
Katie Driscoll attended Arizona State University and graduated in 2018 with a degree in Human Nutrition and Global Health. Following her graduation, Driscoll took time to travel and volunteer before accepting a role with Capital Asset Management as an Assistant Property Manager and oversees office administration. In addition to her Assistant Property Manager responsibilities, Driscoll supports other property managers with various tasks including invoices, tenant communications, and vendor contracts. In her free time, Driscoll enjoys cooking, art, traveling, and reading. Katie’s dedication, communication & organizational skills, and work ethic make her an asset at Capital Asset Management.

Born and raised in Phoenix, Arizona and graduate of Phoenix College, Rachael started working for Capital Asset Management in 2018. Commercial real estate was a new realm for Rachael only having had occupations in the medical field, but she grew to love the industry in addition to the hardworking team at CAM. Rachel is beyond thankful to be a part of the Capital Asset Management team and looks forward to many more years in the industry.
Vision Offices Office Manager
Tyra McGill joined Capital Asset Management in January of 2020 and has previous Executive Suite experience with Class A offices in Scottsdale. She is from Boise, Idaho and she moved to Arizona for college. When she is not at work, she likes to find new trails and places to hike. She enjoys working in the Commercial Real Estate industry where there is always opportunities to learn and grow.
